What is Loopcloud?

Loopcloud is a new way for you to access and manage all your content from Loopmasters. It’s free and it will change the way you get samples into your music software. Every loop, one shot, synth preset, or pack you’ve ever bought from Loopmasters.com will be available from the from Loopcloud Application. Loopcloud has all your sounds saved in the cloud. You don’t have to worry using up loads of hard disk space or losing your stuff.

Use Loopcloud to browse for samples, favourite the ones you like and download them to your hard disk. We want you to be able to find the sound you’re looking for quickly and easily so you’ll be able to search for sounds, filter your library using useful tags such as file type, musical genre, or instrument type.

All the samples in Loopcloud are streamed for the cloud – this means its quick to preview your search results, but as soon as you choose to download the files, they’ll be in their original full-quality uncompressed format.

Loopcloud integrates seamlessly into your DAW or music software workflow. Drag and drop directly from Loopcloud App into a track in your DAW. You can even drag and drop up to 128 files into your sampler of choice in one go!

The Loopcloud plugin sends the audio from Loopcloud App directly into track in your DAW, in sync with project tempo. It works like a virtual instrument so you get the output on a track, meaning you can add e.g. a spectrum analyser plug-in, EQ or Compress or any FX onto your preview track. You won’t believe how useful this is until you try it.

We’ll also be giving you weekly free content, delivered direct to Loopcloud. So, if you’re feeling in a creative rut, just have a look at the New Inspiration from Loopmasters folder.

Do I need an internet connection to use Loopcloud?

Loopcloud streams your audio files from cloud servers. Which means you need to be connected to the internet.

We stream compressed audio - but it's still good enough quality for previewing. The speed at which you hear previews depend on the size of the file, and your internet speed. If you've got 10 mbps, then you''ll be fine for most tasks. Of course, the faster your internet, the quicker loopcloud will go.

Downloading files to your computer means that you'll get the file in full (e.g. 44.1 kHz, 24bit wav) on your HDD. Now you're previews are high quality, and instant, and they will work offline.
